Abstract:The engineering design and application of lateral buckling initiator of subsea pipelines for the first time in China and the verification and re-analysis based on post-production investigation are introduced. The calculation of the lateral buckling based on the Monte Carlo analysis method is carried out, and combined with the finite element analysis, the screening of the acceptable virtual anchor spacing is realized, forming the basis for the lateral buckling control of subsea pipelines. Based on the post-laying investigation, the data such as the out of straightness and settlement value of the pipeline after laying are analyzed, and the direct evidence of uneven sediment deposition of the seabed sediment beside subsea pipeline caused by solitons in the South China sea is found. According to the post-production investigation, the effectiveness of the lateral buckling initiator device is verified, and the parameters of the pipe-soil interaction are verified according to the expansion and lateral buckling distance. The conclusions are of certain guiding significance for the design and construction of deep-water, high-temperature and high-pressure submarine pipelines and the calculation of pipe-soil parameters.
